Los Angeles (AFP) - After struggling to design design, technology and competitive pricing throughout 2017, a number of auto manufacturers are set to launch their best cars globally by 2018.
A total of 15 new cars to be launched globally are not only emerging from the premium segment or electric technology, there is also a segment of pickup or sport utility vehicle (SUV) that is popular in recent years.
Model 3 electric car from technology company Tesla Inc is certainly one of the most eagerly awaited models by automotive enthusiasts of the world, although the strains in the pickup and SUV markets can not be underestimated.
"You can not ignore big trucks," said automotive analyst Jessica Caldwell of the Edmunds car buying site, quoted by USA Today, adding that the truck segment always provides great deals for consumers.
Tesla also offers lucrative prices on the Model 3 electric sedan that sells for 35,000 US dollars before incentives (about Rp466 million), or just half of the price of a luxury sedan and SUV sold on the market.

All automotive lovers eyes will be on Tesla Model 3 that will test the market, whether to move from fossil-fueled vehicles to the era of electric cars.

This year, Honda will take advantage of the momentum to introduce the hybrid series of Honda Accord with the best fuel efficiency.
Nissan Kicks

Infiniti QX50
Infiniti has introduced a premium SUV, the All New QX50, which uses the latest VC Turbo gasoline engine. This car uses a 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine that is able to adjust the compression ratio to optimize power and efficiency

Jeep Wrangler
Jeep, the flagship brand of Fiat Chrysler, will introduce the Wrangler with the latest designs and engines in the first quarter of 2018. The new model uses an aluminum body in several parts while maintaining its character as a vehicle capable of crushing all terrain.
Lexus RX L
Lexus changed the look of the first SUV RX available with two rows of passengers to be 4.3 inches longer in the RX L series so as to be able to load seven passengers. This RX L series will be available in hybrid engine options.
Chevrolet Silverado
The full-pickup series from General Motors is the second most popular model in the United States after the Ford F-150. The difference is that if the Ford F-150 uses a lightweight aluminum body, the Chevrolet Silverado uses a sturdier steel body but offers a more affordable price

Mazda6
While the majority of automotive manufacturers focus on SUVs and premium sedans, Mazda will take advantage of the momentum to update the Mazda6 medium-sized sports sedan model to be sold in April or May 2018.
Hyundai Kona
Hyundai will launch a small SUV named Kona to catch up with competitors who have previously enjoyed sales in that segment. Kona will have two engine options and will be launched in America in March.
Jaguar E-Pace
After launching its first SUV, the F-Pace, Jaguar will add a smaller version in early 2018. The car to be priced starting at 38,600 US dollars will be available in two engine options.
Audi A8
The German luxury brand has redesigned its flagship car by adding air quality filtration and foot massage features on the back. Audi A8 launch will be followed model A7, A6 and Q8 in the second half of 2018.
